Boisdale of Canary Wharf hosted their annual celebration of the cigar, bringing cigar aficionados and celebrity cigar smokers from around the world to share in their passion for the exquisite tobacco product. Hosted by Tom Parker Bowles and Ranald Macdonald, the banquet and vintage cigar auction culminated with Dougray Scott on collecting the award for Santa Rita Cigar Smoker Of The Year 2023.

On the 20th of September 2023, Boisdale Canary Wharf hosted the 11th annual Boisdale Music Awards - a celebration of some of the greatest names in the worlds of soul, jazz, blues, rock, reggae and pop, and was once again hosted by Boisdale’s Patron of Music, Jools Holland, alongside musician and broadcaster, YolanDa Brown. With each winner appearing on stage after receiving their Boisdale Music Award, an audience of more than 200 musicians and guests were treated to an astonishing array of unique, unforgettable performances.

From Kathy Sledge’s spontaneous, floor-filling rendition of Sister Sledge’s We Are Family through to a surprise finale which featured Jools Holland and his drum-tight band joining forces with soul superstar Gregory Porter for a deep dive into Muddy Waters’ ageless Hoochie Coochie Man, there was a palpable sense of excitement in the air that has now become synonymous with the Boisdale Music Awards.

In July 2023, we published the 22nd edition of Boisdale Life Magazine and the Editors Lunch & Awards was a celebration of independent and creative journalism, and saw the presentation of the much-coveted Boisdale Life Awards for 2023! This years event was again hosted by the wonderful William Sitwell and Georgia Toffolo, and attendees at the lunch included journalists, politicians, economists and some of the UK’s most influential Diary writers.

For homesick Scots and curious Sassenachs who can’t get north of the border for Burns Night, there’s only one place to celebrate 235th anniversary of Robbie Burns and that is at Boisdale, Scotland’s unofficial embassy in London. The evening included a Highland piper and an address to the haggis from actor James Cosmo.

On Tuesday 18 October 2022 Charlene White and Jay Blades took to the Boisdale of Canary Wharf stage to host the first annual London Chamber of Commerce Black Excellence Awards 2022, to celebrate the inspirational contribution of the British black community to the cultural and economic development of the United Kingdom.

The Boisdale Life Editors Lunch is a celebration of the excellent columnists who have contributed to Boisdale Life magazine over the last year. This years’ event was hosted by William Sitwell and Georgia Toffolo – attendees at the lunch included journalists, politicians, economists and some of the UK’s most influential Diary writers.

Jools Holland, Boisdale’s Patron of Music is one of the most popular and enduring television personalities of all time. Alongside Jazz, one of his passions is Boogie Woogie piano and this unique event sees Jools and some of the world’s greatest pianists take to the stage – with not one, but three Yamaha grand pianos at their fingertips. Needless to say this is the most extraordinary Boogie Woogie show on earth!
