April 9 2025
What a night! The Boogie Woogie & Blues Spectacular 2025 at Boisdale Canary Wharf was everything we hoped for and more. It was a celebration of music, passion and talent that filled the air. We couldn’t be more thrilled with how it all came together.
Hosted by the one and only Jools Holland, this sold-out night was absolutely incredible. Jools led the charge on the piano, bringing his usual charm and spark to the stage, and was later joined by a stellar group of musicians who exceeded all expectations.
We had the brilliant David Hermlin, the ever-talented Joe Webb, Ed Richardson bringing the rhythm, the groove of Dave Swift on bass, the ever-cool Angus Macdonald, Ranald’s Macdonald's son, and the legendary Neville Dickie, all rounding out the ensemble. Together, they created a phenomenal night of musical brilliance that was nothing short of entertaining.
As the night climaxed, the final part to end the night was the famous all-hands-on-deck performance: four pianists shared two grand pianos, two drummers alternated on one drum set, all while the bassist played for the final performance. It was an incredibly dynamic display of seat swapping, solo moments and teamwork.
We want to take a moment to thank Xerjoff, Yamaha Music London, and Rock Angel for their incredible support. Thanks to them, this spectacular night came to life, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their partnership.
The Boogie Woogie & Blues Spectacular 2025 reminds us of why we love live music so much. We can’t wait to welcome more artists, musicians and music lovers to Boisdale for future events. Keep an eye on our calendar because you won’t want to miss what’s next!
