A magnificent selection of mystery Habanos Robustos will be tasted blind and scored across seven heats on the Cigar Terrace at Boisdale of Canary Wharf.

The journey continues with the second semi-final on 1 October, before the Grand Finale on Wednesday 29 October, where one aficionado will be crowned the UK Cuban Robusto Champion.

Judges will be seated together at one long table on the Members’ Cigar Terrace, with full table service for drinks from the bar. Once the scoring sheets are collected,  there will be the big reveal on which Habanos Cigars have been tasted on the evening.

Celebrate the wines of Lebanon’s oldest estate, Ch. Ksara, at a special lunch hosted by The Spectator at Boisdale of Canary Wharf. Guest speakers include H.E. Rami Mortada, the Lebanese Ambassador to the UK, and Freddy Gray, Deputy Editor of The Spectator. Hosted by Jonathan Ray and Mark Thomson, this evening offers an extraordinary journey through Duncan Taylor’s famed private Scotch collection. Guests will begin with an Innis & Gunn Original Scottish Golden Beer before sampling six scarce, once-in-a-lifetime single malts, including Highland Park 20 YO (£325), Laphroaig 28 YO (£875), Macallan 31 YO (£3,600) and Caperdonich 50 YO (£10,000). Each 15ml dram will be paired with a bespoke canapé from Boisdale’s Executive Chef Andy Rose.
