Bars & Terraces
The Negroni Bar
The Negroni was born in 1919 at the Caffe Casoni in Florence. Count Camillo Negroni asked his friend and bartender, Forsco Scarselli, to fortify his favourite cocktail – the Americano – by replacing the soda water with gin. Costantino Armocida, Boisdale’s legendary mixologist, has taken this iconic cocktail artform to another level by curating different premium heritage spirits, vermouths and bitters to create the world’s most expressive range of Negronis.
The Negroni Bar is in the style of a traditional pub bar, and offers both lighter bar food and a full à la carte menu. The Negroni Bar is suitable for private lunch or dinner parties for up to 26 guests, which can be accommodated on one table, or 35 for drinks parties (more if taken with The Courtyard Garden). It can be hired for private functions on Mondays and Tuesdays subject to availability. Please discuss your requirements with the Events Manager (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The Macdonald Bar

The Macdonald bar is not generally available for private functions during the week but on Saturday afternoons and Sundays it is available for up to 60 guests to dine (in conjunction with the Courtyard Garden 80) or up to 100 guests for a drinks reception.
