Jools Holland returned to Canary Wharf for his ever-popular piano extravaganza in association with Yamaha Music London and it was a night to remember. He hosted a piano pounding extravaganza featuring his choice of especially talented guests including Tom Seals, Ben Waters, Neville Dickie, Paddy Milner, Angus MacDonald, Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall.

Jools, who is Patron of Music at Boisdale, was a founding member and keyboard player of the hugely successful 70s and 80s pop band Squeeze, before pursuing his solo career which included presenting the ground-breaking early 80s music show on Channel 4, The Tube, with Paula Yates. These days, when he’s not playing, he presents a weekly show on BBC Radio 2.

Jools’s charismatic personality, impeccable taste and accessible music have made him one of the nation’s most respected, and loved, musicians. Jools was awarded an OBE in 2003 for his services to the British music industry.

“Jools is part of the furniture for a reason,” said Ranald. “The music and the passion he brings to the Boisdale stage, be it in Belgravia or Canary Wharf, is infectious and lingers for days after.”
