Boisdale of Mayfair London’s very first vinyl and cocktail bar is set to impress! With Jools Holland as patron of music and being renowned for hosting some of London’s finest musicians, Boisdale have installed the best sound in the world from Devialet Phantom, to produce the ultimate vinyl and cocktail experience.
Set in the lower level of Boisdale of Mayfair amidst the rich mahogany walls, all the album covers are framed on the wall and you can simply point at an album and ask to have it placed on the turn table! Elisabeth Rutt Boisdale of Mayfair General Manager, who with Boisdale founder Ranald Macdonald, has developed this novel record concept describes it as, “Like living in a giant juke box with the distinct advantage of having a cocktail bar inside!” The fabulous vinyl, mostly Ranald’s personal collection, spans over six decades with original LPs from the golden age of jazz and rock’n’roll through to the magical eclecticism and experimentation of the 1960s and 1970s.
The cocktail list is being curated by the soon to be legendary mixologists, Alex and Eliis, both putting their passion for music and cocktail into creating a very special experience. The cocktail menu will include daily changing specials with a combination of bright and unusual innovations and fascinating retro research, including discovering what all the artists on the wall drank if they were into cocktails, from John Lennon and Fats Waller to Elvis Presley and Billy Holliday.
Man cannot live by booze and sound alone so for substantial grazing there is a great and varied British tapas menu available and a full A La carte menu from Boisdale of Mayfair restaurant upstairs if desired.
With music at the core, Boisdale are proud to announce The Vinyl & Cocktail Bar will be powered by incredible Devialet Phantom speakers. They believe Phantom delivers the truest representation of music and offers an incredible emotional experience, which will power creative and innovative sensory experiences within the new bar.
