Boisdale is excited and delighted to announce the launch of the Canary Wharf Flower Show 2019 with the One Love Jamaica Garden on Tuesday 21st May sponsored by the Jamaica Tourist Board, created by Plant Plan and launched by the universally renowned multi-platinum record selling singer of Jamaican origin Rebecca Ferguson.
This will be a totally immersive Jamaica rainforest experience in the heart of Canary Wharf designed by Bruce Dallow, Director of Plant Plan.
Jamaica – is the jewel of the Caribbean and one of the most influential musical nations on earth, having developed many popular genres, such as mento, ska, rocksteady, and dub as well as the global phenomenon that is reggae. The fully covered and heated Jamaica One Love Garden is inspired by the tropical rainforest fringed shores of the famously beautiful Jamaican parish of Portland featuring lush tropical plants and cascading palm trees.
On Saturday nights the global legends and London’s Notting Hill Carnival stalwarts Musclehead Lloyd and Victor Victorious of Saxon Sound Systems will play an eclectic mix of reggae, old skool soul, boogie, cutting edge funk, rare groove and a touch of rub a dub reggae. The Jamaica One Love Garden will also be home to a rich, tasty Jamaican inspired menu, with dishes including jerk pork and chicken, as well as Caribbean specials, such as lobster and shrimp as well as Jamaican inspired cocktail menu using Blackwell’s authentic golden Jamaican rum.
