Award-winning singer and musical theatre star Patti Boulaye OBE presents a Valentine’s day show featuring some of the world’s best loved romantic repertoire including I’d Rather Go Blind, I’ll Be There, That Olé Devil Called Love, Kitchen Man, At Last, My Way and Oye Mi Canto.
The British-Nigerian singer, actress and artist rose to prominence after winning New Faces and was amongst the leading black British entertainers of the 1970s and 1980s. At sixteen, she left Nigeria for England to become a nun but, during a sightseeing trip in London, Patti queued for, what she thought was Madame Tussauds, it was, in fact, the audition queue for the original London production of Hair. That mistake led to her winning a leading part in that acclaimed musical and from there she went on to have an outstanding career on stage and TV (including her own show on Channel 4)
