Bois­dale of Canary Wharf will be extend­ing the sum­mer from Mon­day 25th Sep­tem­ber until Sun­day 1st Octo­ber with a pop up res­i­den­cy from the acclaimed New Orleans chef and restau­ra­teur Dick­ie Bren­nan. Dickie’s kitchen brigade and front of house team are famous for their hearty cui­sine and south­ern hos­pi­tal­i­ty and their vis­it to Lon­don coin­cides with the New Orleans Saints Foot­ball Team which makes its Wem­b­ley debut on Octo­ber 1st

Boisdale’s Ranald Mac­don­ald met Dick­ie ear­li­er this year and over a long lunch dreamt up the whole idea. It was a match made in heav­en with both shar­ing an unri­valled love of the good things in life — food, music and hos­pi­tal­i­ty — deeply ingrained in both High­land and New Orleans cul­ture and his­to­ry. In clas­sic Bois­dale style, the NOLA takeover will be fun-filled and authen­tic, bring­ing quin­tes­sen­tial New Orleans to East Lon­don (only 16 min­utes from Green Park Tube!). With the best in New Orleans music com­bined with Dickie’s home-cook­ing, sig­na­ture cock­tails and front of house flare, guests will be wel­comed to the warm embrace of La Nou­velle-Orléans over­look­ing the foun­tains of Cabot Square and spec­tac­u­lar views of the Lon­don skyline. 

FOOD 

The Bren­nan fam­i­ly, of Irish descent, cre­at­ed a culi­nary tra­di­tion regard­ed as the epit­o­me of New Orleans fine din­ing. Dick­ie Bren­nan comes from a fam­i­ly of restau­ra­teurs and is the only mem­ber of his fam­i­ly to have held the posi­tion Exec­u­tive Chef”. His culi­nary apti­tude has received many acco­lades includ­ing Best Steak­hous­es in the Unit­ed States” (Trav­el + Leisure) and Best New Restau­rants in Amer­i­ca” (Esquire). 

With the New Orleans Pop Up, guests will be tak­en on a culi­nary jour­ney to the Deep South. The menu will show­case some of the Cres­cent City’s best loved and famed dish­es, mas­ter­ful­ly cre­at­ed by the man who does it best. Dish­es include Gum­bo Ya Ya, Savoury Crab­meat Cheese­cake, Lan­gosti­no Étouf­fée, Shrimp and Grits and Bananas Foster.

Boisdale’s Patron of Music Jools Hol­land has described the venue as a fairy tale of delight” and its live blues, jazz and soul is sec­ond to none. Dur­ing the New Orleans week we’ll be fea­tur­ing great music from Dom Pip­kin, The Mis­sis­sip­pi Swamp Dogs and The Dix­ie Dev­ils, per­fect­ly com­ple­ment­ing the Dick­ie Bren­nan din­ing experience.
