    Whether you’re a local, a visitor or a tourist, London is a great place for you to celebrate and spoil your Dad for Father’s Day. Now only three weekends away, Father’s Day falls on Sunday 15th June so there’s no time like the present to get busy and start planning!

    From dawn until dusk, London has great variety of activities to keep your Dad entertained. Meet Guy the Gorilla at London Zoo or walk amongst the stars and celebrities at Madame Tussauds, with so much on offer there’s plenty of choices to keep your Dad amused.

    If you are looking for ideas and are planning to spend the weekend in London, here are just a few of London’s top attractions that will guarantee all Dad’s a memorable Father’s Day, 2014;

    HMS Belfast

    The HMS Belfast is an iconic ship that was first launched in 1938 and was in service for 25 years. Approved in 1971 as a museum ship she is now moored on The Thames, at The Queens Walk. You can explore nine decks, find out how life was whilst sleeping in hammocks or go down into the heart of the ship to see how it would have felt to be there during enemy raids. There are interactive rooms and exhibitions for you to learn more about her great history from WW2 through to her final commissions.

    Science Museum

    For all those techy Dad’s what could be better than a day out browsing through the 15,000 objects on display in the Science Museum. You can discover the mysteries of deep space or find out how 3D printing could change our lives. If you haven’t got the time to plan your day, take advantage of the Museum’s ‘quick dash’ ideas to make sure you see some of the most amazing things on offer.

    World Rugby Museum and Twickenham Stadium

    If your Dad is a rugby fan then he’ll be as pleased as punch with a trip to Twickenham. Not only is Twickenham the home of English Rugby it is also home to the World Rugby Museum that houses the finest collection of rugby memorabilia in the world.  The collection includes 10,000 objects, 7,000 pieces of archival material and between 7-8,000 photographs. If you fancy a nostalgic sporting day out then look no further than Twickenham.

    London Wetland Centre

    For nature loving Dad’s that like the outdoors the London Wetland Centre is a perfect choice. There are bird hides for bird watching, free guided tours to show you around or you can even join the wardens at 3pm to help with bird feeding. Created from four redundant Thames Water reservoirs, the wetland centre offers a tranquil day out in the City, away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
