For a fes­tive feast that is fit for a king, noth­ing sur­pass­es a three-bird roast. 

Extrav­a­gant mul­ti-bird roasts were the height of fash­ion in Tudor times, tak­ing cen­tre stage in grand din­ing rooms as proof of the wealth of the house­hold and the abun­dance of game thriv­ing with­in the estate. Encased with­in a thick crust to pre­vent the meat dry­ing out as it was cooked by the fire, these enor­mous pies con­tained a range of wild and farmed birds.

At Bois­dale of Bish­ops­gate, you will find the unique atmos­phere of a tra­di­tion­al British pub and restau­rant, not for­get­ting the warm and friend­ly wel­come that always goes with it!

The evening takes place on Tues­day, 2nd Octo­ber at 7pm.

1st Course
Squab pigeon & beet­root ter­rine with pick­led girolles & frisee

2nd Course
Roast breast of red leg par­tridge with but­ter­nut squash risot­to, sage & cob­nuts

3rd Course
Roast young grouse from the Scot­tish board­er with boudin blanc, spiced braised red cab­bage, fon­dant pota­to & red cur­rant gravy

4th Course
Iced granny smith apple par­fait with crum­ble & black­cur­rant sorbet
