Russ­ian Stan­dard vod­ka held its search for London’s best Bloody Mary in the strik­ing sur­round­ings of Bois­dale of Canary Wharf. The annu­al com­pe­ti­tion was judged by a pan­el of elite indus­try experts includ­ing leg­endary bar­tender Bri­an Sil­va. Adam McGurk from Hawksmoor was announced cham­pi­on and won a cash prize and lux­u­ry din­ner for two at Bois­dale. Adam beat sev­en oth­er final­ists from bars includ­ing the Bas­soon Bar at Corinthia, Shored­itch House, Mr Fogg’s and NOLA rep­re­sent­ed by BC Hoff­man which came sec­ond. In addi­tion to Bri­an, judges includ­ed bar con­sul­tant and Glob­al Ambas­sador for Jensen’s Gin Han­nah Lan­fear, Tatiana Petrako­va from Russ­ian Stan­dard, renowned drinks writ­ers Gary Sharp­en and San­drae Lawrence from The Cock­tail Lovers and Gin Mon­key blog­ger Emma Stokes. Ranald Mac­don­ald from Bois­dale com­ment­ed; We serve so many Bloody Marys at Bois­dale, par­tic­u­lar­ly with our new Sun­day Roast Menu at Canary Wharf, so we were delight­ed to part­ner with Russ­ian Stan­dard for this com­pe­ti­tion. There are so many excit­ing inter­pre­ta­tions of the drink so it is great to cel­e­brate the incred­i­ble tal­ent of London’s bar­tend­ing scene.”
