On Wednes­day 24 Jan­u­ary Bois­dale of Bel­gravia was rem­i­nis­cent of a Lat­er with Jools Hol­land stu­dio set. The Bel­gravia stal­wart host­ed a star stud­ded event attend­ed by Kylie Minogue, Mick Huck­nall, Sir Tom Jones, Sir Bob Geld­of, David Gilmore, Mel C not to men­tion tin­sel town and sil­ver screen stars Hugh Lau­rie, Jenifer Saun­ders, Dawn French, jour­nal­ist and phil­an­thropist Jemi­ma Gold­smith and come­di­an Har­ry Hill.

Bois­dale of Canary Wharf launched it’s Jamaica Gar­den Ter­race in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Jamaica Tourist Board. The rib­bon was cut by His Excel­len­cy Seth George Ramo­can, Jamaican High Com­mis­sion­er to the Unit­ed King­dom, who was dressed in tra­di­tion­al tar­tan for the spe­cial celebration.

1st, Bois­dale Life Mag­a­zine, of the epony­mous restau­rant group, host­ed The Bois­dale Edi­tors Lunch; a cel­e­bra­tion of the excel­lent colum­nists who have con­tributed to the mag­a­zine over the last two years. Guests were treat­ed to culi­nary delights craft­ed by Bois­dale own­er Ranald Mac­don­ald and the Exec­u­tive Head Chef Col­in Wint, who devel­oped a menu that reflect­ed the taste of Balles­teros’ home coun­try, includ­ing stone crab, empanadas, octo­pus and squid ceviche, and Ser­ra­no ham cro­quettes for the stars of the film and their guests. Russ­ian Stan­dard London’s Best Bloody Mary Competition

Stan­dard vod­ka held its search for London’s best Bloody Mary in the strik­ing sur­round­ings of Bois­dale of Canary Wharf. The annu­al com­pe­ti­tion was judged by a pan­el of elite indus­try experts includ­ing leg­endary bar­tender Bri­an Sil­va. Adam McGurk from Hawksmoor was announced cham­pi­on and won a cash prize and lux­u­ry din­ner for two at Bois­dale. Adam beat sev­en oth­er final­ists from bars includ­ing the Bas­soon Bar at Corinthia, Shored­itch House, Mr Fogg’s and NOLA rep­re­sent­ed by BC Hoff­man which came sec­ond. greats includ­ing Jools Hol­land, Imel­da May and Rumer showed up at the launch of an exhi­bi­tion of ink sketch­es and por­traits by Gilson Lavis, on of Britain’s most expe­ri­enced and ver­sa­tile drum­mers. With a career span­ning over four decades, Gilson has played with a myr­i­ad of house­hold names from the music indus­try.
