On Thurs­day 20th August grouse fans are set to flock to Bois­dale of Bel­gravia, London’s great­est High­land haunt, to cel­e­brate the Glo­ri­ous Twelfth — the start of the grouse sea­son and the high­light of the game gourmet cal­en­dar. This year the British restau­rant with Scot­tish roots will spoil game con­nois­seurs with six ways to enjoy their favourite ground-nest­ing bird of the heather moor­lands, unique to the UK.

The grouse will be offered roast­ed with all the trim­mings, name­ly: game chips, bread sauce, game crumbs, grouse liv­er pâté croû­ton, water­cress, red­cur­rant jel­ly & gravy per­fect­ly accom­pa­nied by a glass of total­ly deli­cious Ter­razas de los Andes Reser­va Mal­bec 2016, Men­don­za, Argenti­na for just £29.50 or as a stun­ning five course grouse tast­ing menu for an incred­i­ble £59.50.

The dish­es will be avail­able to taste from Thurs­day 20th August until the end of Octo­ber. Ter­razas de los Andes Reser­va Mal­bec 2016, Men­don­za, Argenti­na which nor­mal­ly sells for £39.00 a bot­tle, is Boisdale’s undis­put­ed favourite Mal­bec and per­fect­ly match­es the com­plex rich and del­i­cate flavours of the young roast­ed grouse.
