Our web site, www.boisdale.co.uk, is the online service of
Boisdale Plc the details of which can be found at the foot of
these terms of use. Please read the following carefully as any
use of our website and purchase of our products is subject to
the following terms and conditions.
Shopping with Boisdale
You can order products displayed on this website (1) by telephoning
us (2) by faxing or posting to us a completed copy of the Boisdale
order form or (3) on-line.
- If you have placed your order
on-line, we will shortly afterwards send you an e-mail to confirm
that we have received your order.
The email confirmation will be produced automatically
so that you have a record of your order details. An email order
confirmation
does not necessarily mean that we will be able to meet
the requirements of your order.
- It is against the law to sell
or supply intoxicating substances
such as wine to persons under 18 years of age in the
UK. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18
years
old.
Boisdale Gift Vouchers
- If you have received
a Promotional Gift Voucher from Boisdale, only one such
Gift Voucher may be redeemed per purchase.
- Specific terms apply
to the sale and use of Boisdale Gift Vouchers,
as set out on each individual voucher at the time of purchase.
Prices
- Our prices are shown
on our website, and include VAT at 17.5%.
- Non-EU customers
are responsible for Import Duty/Tax in their respective countries.
Unfortunately we cannot advise you what
these costs will be - please consult your local customs office
for more information.
- We try to make sure that the
prices on our website are accurate but errors may occur. If
we discover
an error in pricing of
the goods in your order we will inform you as soon as possible
using the contact details you supply us and give you the option
of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling
it. (If we are unable to reach you we will treat the order
as cancelled). In the event of an order being cancelled, any
payment
made for the goods will be refunded in full.
- All offers are
available while stocks last. If we are unable to supply a particular
item which you have ordered or if the
correct price for an item is different from the price on your
order, we will notify you as soon as we can after receiving
your order. If this happens, you may cancel your order and
we will refund you any money which you have paid.
- You will be notified
of the delivery costs automatically before you submit your credit

Payment
- You
can pay on-line with any of the following credit/debit cards:
Visa or MasterCard credit card or by Switch, Solo or
Delta debit
card. To ensure that shopping on-line is secure, your
credit/debit details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility
of someone
being able to read your details as they are sent to
us over the Internet.
- We currently debit money
from your account within one working day after we have received
your order.
- In the unlikely event that your
card is used fraudulently as a result of a transaction
on our website your card provider
will normally reimburse you for any loss you suffer except
for the first £50 of any such loss. As a gesture of goodwill
and in order to give our customers peace of mind in ordering
online we will reimburse up to £50 should you become
liable for this amount due to a fraudulent transaction.
- Orders placed
by fax or phone and not paid for by credit or debit card will only
be processed once payment has been received
and cleared.
Delivery
- We normally only deliver
goods to destinations within the UK. However, if you would like
goods delivered outside of the UK
we can sometimes make special arrangements. Please contact Lucinda

- We aim to deliver goods
to destinations in the UK within 7 days in most circumstances.

- We
will make every effort to deliver within the time stated on
our website but we will not be liable for any loss
caused to you by late delivery. If the goods are not delivered
within the delivery time which we quote for that item, please
contact Lucinda Brooke by telephone or email. We will try and
ensure that you receive your order as quickly as possible, or
if you wish you may cancel your order and we will refund you
any money which you have paid.
- This does not affect your statutory
rights as a consumer.
Returns
- We
believe that you will be delighted with your product but there may
be occasions where you feel it necessary to return
an item. We aim to keep the process as simple as possible. These
terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Unwanted Goods
You may cancel your order for any reason at any time up to
and including 7 days from the date of delivery of your order
provided you have taken reasonable care of the products, return
the goods complete with packaging and in the case of wine, salmon,
cigars and CDs they remain unopened. We will require you to
pay for the return postage of the goods. Please contact Lucinda

inform us of your wish to return the goods and we
will allocate you a Returns Code (which you may
wish to include with the package
to ensure we process your return as efficiently as
possible).
Faulty Goods
If
you return an item to us which is faulty, which you
did not order or for any other reason which
is our fault, please contact
Lucinda Brooke by telephone (020 7730 6923) or email wine@boisdale.co.uk and
we will arrange a refund or replacement. In the event
of you returning goods to us we will also pay you the
cost
of the return postage. In this event, please contact us
first and we will allocate you a Returns Code (which you
may wish
to include with the package to ensure we process your
return as efficiently as possible) and we will also advise
you how
to send the item back to us. We usually ask that you send
items back to us via Royal Mail First Class (Recorded),
but occasionally items may have to be picked up by a courier
service.
Please obtain a proof of posting certificate from your
Post Office to enable us to process the refund for your
return
postage costs.

- You will be responsible
for the item or items until they reach us. For your own
protection, we suggest you use a
secure delivery method which requires a signature upon delivery
such as Royal Mail First Class (Recorded Delivery).
- As
some of our goods are perishable you are responsible for keeping
and storing
them in suitable conditions and we will
not be responsible for goods that are damaged due to in appropriate
storage by you.
Our responsibility

use or the inability to use our website or resulting from
unauthorised access to, or alteration of your transmissions
or data in circumstances
which are beyond our control.
- We will not be responsible
for your loss of profits, wasted expenditure, corruption

if you use this website in breach of these terms of use
and using this web site
you agree to reimburse
us for any loss that you cause us as a result of any such
misuse.
- We make no promise that our
website will be uninterrupted or entirely error free.
Because of the nature of the Internet,
the shopping online service is provided on an "as
is" and "as
available" basis. We are not responsible to
you if we are unable to provide our Internet services
for
any
reason beyond
our control.
