The Balvenie Whisky Tasting

The Balvenie Distillery lies at the very heart of Speyside, in the Scottish Highlands. In early 1892 Balvenie New House, an eighteenth Century mansion, was converted into what was to become one of Scotland’s most iconic distilleries. The exceptional quality of The Balvenie Single Malt Scotch Whisky is due to the fact that the distillery retains and nurtures a level of craftsmanship that, quite simply, other malt whisky producers no longer employ.

With the longest serving Malt Master in  the whisky industry, only at The Balvenie Distillery will you still find all Five Rare Crafts of malt whisky making still in existence. These include the barley for the maltings being grown on Balvenie farm and being malted inhouse
in the traditional way, adding further complexity to The Balvenie’s distinctive taste.

In addition, the Balvenie coppersmith of some fifty years maintains the stills that are so critical to defining the smooth, honeyed flavour of the malt.

The tasting of four expressions of this outstanding Speyside malt will be hosted by Andy Forrester the Balvenie Ambassador for Great Britain.
