The Justerini & Brooks 2009 Charity Golf Classic

The suggested arrival time at the Royal Automobile Club is 8.15am. The tournament will begin at 9am with the various teams starting either from the 1st or the 10th tee with seven minute intervals between the starts. The form of game played will be greensome stableford whereby each player drives and then the better ball is played alternately by the members of the 2-member team.

Pommery champagne supplied by J&B and refreshments will be served at the half-way hut. Tiff Needell, a keen golfer, and well-known presenter of Fifth Gear will host our luncheon which will be served at 2.30pm. Pre lunch champagne followed by a three-course meal with wines generously supplied by Justerini & Brooks will be followed by the prize giving and a charity auction for Action Against Hunger, an international humanitarian organisation committed to saving the lives of malnourished children and their families in over 40 countries worldwide.

Itinerary

8.15 am Arrive at the Royal Automobile Golf Club. Teams will be organised if not already done so.

9.00 am Start for up to 80 players divided into teams of 4 from the 1st or 10th tee.
Pommery champagne supplied by J&B & refreshments at the half-way hut

2.30 pm Tiff Needell hosts a three-course lunch of
Scottish Smoked Salmon, Sirloin of Beef and a selection of Cheeses
Pre lunch Pommery champagne
Accompanied by copious quantities of good white Burgundy and serious quaffing Claret
supplied by J&B

After lunch the prize giving will take place followed by the most important part of the day - the charity auction
for Action Against Hunger.

Woodcote Park home to the Royal Automobile Club country clubhouse is in a delightful setting, sports two impressive 18 hole golf parkland courses and offers great food and immaculate service in a very attractive private function room.

The concept is simple. Each player scores their round on a handheld device and VPAR immediately calculates the net score and updates all live leader boards instantaneously.

These live leader boards can be viewed in real time on each handheld device, plasma screens on the course, plasma screens in the clubhouse and live on the internet.
