On Thursday 8 October Boisdale of Bishopsate - The winner of the Best Game Dish Award 2007 - will be providing a classic fine dining setting for an inspired game dinner hosted by Lord Norman Tebbit.
The Rt. Hon Lord Norman Tebbit, a former MP for Chingford, senior minister in Margaret Thatcher’s cabinet and one of the most interesting figures on the political right, is a big fan of game and has recently published The Game Cook, a book beautifully illustrated by Debby Mason in which he showcased his favourite game recipes featuring pheasant, partridge, duck, grouse, woodpigeon, woodcock, deer, rabbit, hare and more.
The dinner will provide an opportunity not only to enjoy a mouth-watering feast specially designed and prepared for the occasion by our talented head chef Neil Churchill but also to pick up some practical tips on cooking game as well as hear a few revealing anecdotes such as how, during his time as a minister, the Royal Parks department used to give Lord Tebbit haunches of culled deer which he hung in his bathroom or how he still takes pot shots at wood pigeon from his bedroom window with an air rifle. At the end of the evening Lord Tebbit will be available for book signing.
Bookings for this inspired gourmet dinner can be made with Pam or Myriam on 020 7283 1763 (email: info@boisdale-city.co.uk) 8pm for 8.30pm. Members £75; Non Members: £95
