Armagnac is the oldest eau-de-vie in France and will be celebrating its 700th birthday next year in 2010. The diversity of the terroir and grape varieties give it a rich and unpredictable character. But above all, Armagnac is a handcrafted product, created in tiny quantities by farmers who act as custodians of the time-honoured savoir-faire.
