Jose Cuervo and Don Julio Tequila Tasting

Tequila imparts a rare flavour and fragrance and like single-malt whisky or small-brewery sake, it varies according to the company making it, the process, the plants and their growing environment. The temperature, soil, technical equipment, age of the plants, the means by which the plants are baked and the way the tequila is aged - all affect the flavour, complexity and body.

There are more than 600 recognised flavours and aromas in tequila ranging from familiar citrus, mint, cherry, vanilla, anise and liquorice to more obscure green beans, cooked cabbage and hot sauce and downright bizzare like tar, skunk or… wet dog.

The light, clean, fresh taste; it is a double distilled, smooth, refined, premium tequila used as a base for classic tequila cocktails.

Don Julio Reposado
Silky smooth with a compelling combination of light cinnamon, honey and herbaceous flavours balanced by a lightly smoky taste and dark chocolate notes.

Don Julio Anejo
Aged in oak barrels for a minimum of one year to enhance its smooth, rich and clean taste with a sweet touch of wild honey. Wonderfully complex with expressions of vanilla and oaky butterscotch notes that evolve into an ensemble of cherries and strawberries.
