BOISDALE RADIO PRESENTS THE EMPEROR ROSKO GLENFARCLAS HAPPY HOUR 6pm-7pm Jan-Feb
Legendary DJ, Emperor Rosko (Radio Caroline pirate station’s best loved presenter upon whose exploits the film “The Boat that Rocked” is based and who went on to help found Radio 1) has flown into London from his home in Los Angeles to toast the launch of the special in-house entertainment programme he has prepared for Boisdale. Emperor Rosko has put together a series of exclusive “radio” shows for Boisdale, inluding a Christmas Holiday Special. All the programmes have been mixed with the regular lientele of Boisdale and their lifestyles in mind and are presented by the Emperor who is a big fan of Boisdale.
The shows have been sponsored by Glenfarclas, one of two remaining family owned distilleries in Scotland producing outstanding Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky in a traditional Speyside style.
Sixth generation distillery owner George S Grant said: “Boisdale is all about Scotland and Scotland is all about whisky; there is no better place in the UK for a fine Highland dram and soul stirring jazz and blues so I am immensely delighted that “the king of all malt whiskies” is the focus of the first Boisdale Radio Happy our. In these precarious times that’s one small step for man, one giant leap for malt whisky connoisseurs.”
Happy Hour (6pm – 7pm) at Boisdale will now feature the special shows as an aural backdrop. Those customers fortunate enough to be paying attention to the Emperor’s show will be rewarded with a daily password to whisper to the Boisdale bartenders for 50% discount on a magnificent range of Glenfarclas malt whiskies. So amazingly enough, a large dram of the stunning and definitive Glenfarclas 25 year will be available for a mere £15!
Boisdale Radio will be the first global Jazz, Blues & Soul radio station. The Boisdale group will enter the radio market in 2010.
Stay tuned!
