The magnificence of the House itself is matched by the splendour of its surroundings; a spectacular mixture of landscaped parkland (home to Great Britain’s first safari park), lakes and formal gardens. In this spectacular safari park there is an opportunity to enjoy close encounters with the world’s most amazing animals including tigers, lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras,wolves, monkeys and more. Before you head for Longleat though, a word of warning: “don’t feed the lions” and “if your car breaks down, simply wait for a white hunter”- one of 15 armed men patrolling the park.
