Music

Boisdale of Belgravia has been presenting live music every night (except Sundays) since 1999.  It has established itself as London’s leading venue for classic jazz featuring London’s finest musicians performing in the style of everyone from Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong to Billie Holiday and Charlie Parker.  The venue has a charming intimacy and is ideal for enjoying live after dinner entertainment.  As the week progresses we liven things up with soul, R&B and blues from our fabulous resident bands such as Reuben Richards and Soul Train and, on most Saturdays, the irrepressible Rockin’ Roman Eric Ranzoni.

At 6.30 each weekday we present early evening jazz with our resident singer-pianists.  Later in the evening from Monday to Saturday we present bands ranging from trios to sextets.  The performance times are  9.15pm - 10.45pm Mondays; 10pm - 11.30pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and  Thursdays; 10pm - 12:30am Fridays and Saturdays (see below for listings).

‘Excellent numbers with menacing left hand rumblings and rolling right hand work, just like Otis Spann’’ – Jim Greaves - (Blues in Britain)

...After Dark

With an ambiance somewhere between a New Orleans dive and a 1950s New York jazz club, the music scene at Boisdale has evolved and the sound of blues and soul now regularly features later in the week.

Our aim is to provide a refuge from the modern world with soul stirring contemporary versions of classic jazz and blues in a warm, eclectic atmosphere in which one can either simply dine or relax at the bar. On which note, Boisdale enjoys one of the most extensive selections of fine wine and premium spirits in the UK, although we are most famous for our award winning range of malt whiskies. For a dram and great live music there is not a finer venue on the planet. For those who enjoy a smoke after dinner and before jazz, our Cigar Terrace is open all day until 11pm Monday to Saturday.
